The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia conducts applied economic research, research work (RW) and research and development work (RDW) in the interests of the Ministry including those within the frames of policy measures under federal target programmes, according to the subject schedules approved by the management.

The obtained results of the tasks performed are used by the Ministry structural subdivisions to apply new knowledge to achieve practical goals and solve specific tasks in the main areas of activity in the sphere of national economy and foreign economic activity.
