Anti-Corruption Policy

Within the established competence the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia exercises function of elaboration of effective state policy focused on fighting corruption, revealing and subsequent eliminating reasons and conditions thereof.

Under this function realization the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia participates in preparation of proposals on perfection of legal, economic and organization platforms to fight corruption, on forming the targets and tasks system in the sphere under consideration, as well as on working out their implementation arrangements.

Work on corruption fight providing is mainly carried out under the Executive Order of the President of the Russian Federation No. 460 of April 13, 2010 “On National Anti-Corruption Strategy and National Anti-Corruption Plan for 2010-2011”.

Since 2010 the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia has been organizing and conducting sociological research focused on corruption level and structure assessment and efficiency of the taken anticorruption actions by order of the Government of the Russian Federation issued in pursuance of the corresponding task of the President of the Russian Federation.

Besides, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia regularly organizes and conducts monitoring of anticorruption activities of federal executive bodies under the supervision of the Government of the Russian Federation.

One of the major lines of work in the sphere is perfecting regulatory framework of corruption fight. With this view the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia performs an analysis of effectiveness of the existing Russian anticorruption laws and the relevant international practice, and in view of the results of which participates in generation of new legislative solutions in this sphere.

Particular emphasis is made on corruption fight issues at the international level. In this regard representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia take part in developing corruption fight issues together with the relevant international organizations, in particular, United Nations Organization (UN), Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Group of States against Corruption (GRECO).

Besides, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia within its competence renders methodical and advisory assistance on fight corruption policy realization to federal executive bodies and other state bodies.
