On the 2nd of October 2006 the Minister for Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation G.O.Gref met with the delegation from European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA) and Russian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (RVCA)
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the EVCA Board of Directors Javier Loizaga, the Secretary-General Javier Echarri, the Chairman of RVCA Kirill Dmitriev, RVCA Executive director Albina Nikkonen, the Head of the Department for Socio-Economic Reforms Strategy of the Ministry for Economic Development and Trade of Russia Said Batkibekov, the Head of the Section for Public-Private Partnership Tools Development of the Ministry for Economic Development and Trade of Russia Yuri Ammosov and other Ministry staff.
During the meeting there were discussed cooperation issues between EVCA and the Ministry for Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation, questions of European venture capitalists participation in innovation process in Russia and Russian venture company activities.
