A meeting of experts from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Russia and the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) to discuss collaboration prospects as part of the Kyoto Protocol took place in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation on July 28, 2005.
The meeting was attended by Mr. O.B. Pluzhnikov, Head of Environment Protection Economics Division, Department for Property and Land Relations and Environmental Management Economics, Russian Ministry for Economic Development and Trade, and representatives of the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) – Manabo Kato and Kendzi Kanamoto.
The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation development between the Ministry for Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) in implementing the Kyoto Protocol arrangements.
Mr. O.B. Pluzhnikov, Head of Environment Protection Economics Division, Russian Ministry for Economic Development and Trade of Russia, informed Japanese experts on the progress of implementation of the Comprehensive Action Plan for the Kyoto Protocol Implementation in the Russian Federation.
Representatives of the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) submitted draft Agreement between the Ministry for Economic Development and Trade of Russia and JBIC in implementing the Kyoto Protocol arrangements to the Russian party for consideration.
